Following the announcement of our Stannite Bursary Scheme, we are thrilled to share the incredible generosity of Georgina Weddell nee Schofield, a lifelong supporter of Windermere School. Georgina, who joined the school in 1947, has been a steadfast part of our community throughout the years, witnessing its evolution while maintaining her strong connection to her alma mater.

Her recent significant donation to the Stannite Bursary Scheme is a testament to her enduring belief in the power of education and the opportunities that Windermere School provides. With high spirits and a heart dedicated to giving back, Georgina has played a vital role in ensuring that future generations can access the same transformative experiences that shaped her own journey.

Reflecting on her time at Windermere School, Georgina shared,
"You can take the girl out of the school, but you cannot take the school out of the girl, and I owe so much to it all."
