This week, Year 3 pupils embarked on an unforgettable adventure as they hiked to the summit of Orrest Head, a beloved local landmark. With cookies in hand and excitement in the air, the children eagerly explored the newly unveiled sculpture trail, spotting beautifully hand carved wooden animals along the way!
This special walk held even greater significance, as it was dedicated to Archie T and his family. In a heartfelt gesture, they have generously sponsored the naming of our new Year 4 classroom—now officially known as ‘Orrest Head.’ Archie himself chose the name, inspired by his love for this very walk, which has been a treasured part of his journey at our school.
It was a day filled with adventure, appreciation for nature, and a wonderful sense of community. Thank you to Archie and his family for their support in creating a lasting connection between our school and this scenic route!
